The elegant balletic movement of a seal (vitulus in Latin), darting through the waves was the initial spark for this sculptural floating shelf. I was looking to make a piece that married functionality with aesthetics in even amounts and captured both the playful agility of the seal with a reference to its marine environment. Vitulus is pictured here in Maple with turquoise and magenta painted sections. You can customise this piece to any colour on request and sizes range from 1100 to 1500mm in length.
